Experience to discover the cultivation of saffron in Chianti and cooking class
In this short hike we will have the opportunity to deepen the knowledge of the Chianti area, often associated only with vineyards and olive groves, but actually rich in many other wonders of nature. Step by step, trying to perceive the sounds and the scents of the environment, we will cross an oak and chestnut forest, in a valley between the river Elsa and Greve. We will then reach a part of the ridge from which to admire the enchanting village of Montefioralle, and we will be able to embrace with our eyes the entire complex of Chianti hills.

Our hike, on a path inside the wood, will lead us to a beautiful farmhouse that, for over fifteen years, has been cultivating and producing one of the most precious spices in the world: saffron. Cooking together, under the expert guidance of a chef, we will have the opportunity of cooking with saffron. Finally we will sit down at the table to taste the prepared dishes, obviously combining them with wine typical of this area, the Chianti Classico, produced by the winery.
