Hiking group trip in Val di Sole

Sunday, August 4 – Arrival in Madonna di Campiglio

Arrival in Madonna di Campiglio in the afternoon, room assignment and accommodation. At 6:30 pm welcome drink at the hotel for the presentation of the local hiking guide Dinner at the hotel.

Monday, August 5 – Hike Grostè Pass – Tuckett Hut

Length: 12 km
Elevation gain: 600 m

A short drive of around 10 km will take us to the Grostè gondola (both gondola and the parking lot are chargeable), which will take us to an altitude of 2400 metres.

From here will start the day’s hike, a magnificent route at high altitude in the presence of the great walls of the central section of the Brenta Dolomites, including gentle ups and downs, grandiose views of Val Rendena and the Adamello-Presanella Group.
A very scenic path under ancient towers will lead us to the Tuckett Hut, located on a rock. We will then visit the Brentei Hut to enjoy a visit to a charming little church, with a view of the Bocca di Brenta, where we will have lunch. On the way down we will pass by the scenic Casinei Hut and then reach the Vallesinella waterfalls.

Return to Grostè by bus.

Tuesday, August 6 – Hike to the Malghette Lake

Lenght: 15 km
Elevation gain: 800 m

We will set off on foot from the hotel with a gondola ride (free of charge) to reach the Malghet Aut.

From there we will start our hike towards the Orso Bruno Hut, located at about 2200 meters below the Cima Monte Vigo peak, to admire an extensive panorama of both the Brenta Dolomites and the Adamello-Presanella Group. We will then follow the 3-lake trail along the ridge to the Malghette lake and the mountain hut of the same name at 1890 metres, the destination of our hike.

With a short ascent we will then return to take the gondola ride for the return journey.

Wednesday, August 7 – Hike in Val Meledrio and Pison Waterfall

Length: 5 km
Elevation gain: 250 m

We will set off on foot from the hotel for an easy hike through the woods in one of the ‘wildest’ environments in Val di Sole: Val Meledrio. Here the waters of the Meledrio stream will keep us company along the trail inside the Adamello Brenta Geopark to reach the Pison waterfall.

We will continue on to the Malga Presson for our packed lunch. We will then return to the hotel for a half day of relaxation in the hotel spa or for other outdoor activities (such as rafting or an e-bike tour).

Thursday, August 8 – Hike in the Ortles-Cevedale Group – Rabbi Valley

Length: 10 km
Elevation gain: 250 m

We will drive to the Coler parking lot (fee) in Val di Rabbi.

With this hike we will immerse ourselves in an alpine valley in the heart of the Stelvio National Park, one of Italy’s oldest nature parks. We will take the trail along the Rabbies stream on foot, which will lead us to the Malga Stablasolo and then on to the magnificent Saent Waterfalls.

Continuing above the waterfalls, along a slightly more challenging trail, we will have the opportunity to hike along the Monumental Larch Trailadmiring the Park’s oldest and most majestic larches, and then return to Malga Stablasolo (packed lunch for those going up to the larches or lunch at Malga Stablasolo if returning after the waterfalls).

Friday, August 9 – Hike through the Val delle Mite and Pejo 3000

Lenght: 9 km
Elevation gain: 250 m

The planned hike on the last day of the trip will take us up to the foothills of the glaciers of the Ortles-Cevedale Group.

After breakfast we will check out and drive to Pejo Terme. From there the cable car (free with Trentino Guest Card) will take us to the Scoiattolo Hut, from where our trek will start through a landscape rich in larch and stone pine trees. Passing through Malga Saline, we will arrive at the Doss dei Cembr Hut, where we will have lunch.

Following this, we will set out to return to the Scoiattolo Hut, skirting the Doss dei Cembri lake. On reaching the mountain hut, you will be able to take the cable car free of charge up to 3,000 meters to enjoy a unique panorama. Return to the cars. Departure.

Saturday, August 10 – Departure

Return home.

After breakfast, you can enjoy a day of relaxation, taking advantage of the hotel spa for a few more hours, or indulge in some shopping.

Participation fee:

• € 300,00 to be paid at the time of registration
• € 745,00 thirty days before departure

The fee includes:

• Two Professional English speaking Hiking Guides for the duration of the entire hiking trip (environmental hiking guide qualified in accordance with L.R. 42 of 23/03/2000 and subsequent amendments)
• 6 night stay in 3* hotel in Madonna di Campiglio in double rooms with twin beds. Single room available at no extra charge (limited availability)
• Half board service (5 breakfasts and 5 dinners) drinks not included.
• Use of the hotel’s wellness center, gym, spa and panoramic whirlpool.
• Trentino Guest Card to use public facilities and museums
• Parking space at the hotel
• Wifi
• Accident insurance

The fee does not include

• Travel costs to reach Madonna di Campiglio and return (fuel and tolls) to be made by own car
• Tourist tax of € 2.00 per/day over 15 years old
• Lunches at the mountain huts
• Trentino Val di Sole Guest Card: € 3.50 per day for use of ski lifts, public transportation, free access to museums and ancient castles.
• Access to the Wellness Center and swimming pool with a flat fee for the entire stay of Euro 30.00/per user, including bathrobes and slippers, in adult size.
• Anything not specified under “The fee include”.

• The cancellation of the reservation from 60 to 31 days from the date of departure: penalty of 30% of the booked services.
• The cancellation of the reservation from 30 to 15 days from the date of departure: penalty of 40% of the booked services.
• The cancellation of the reservation from 14 to 8 days from the date of departure: penalty of 70% of the booked services.
• The cancellation of the reservation within 7 days from the date of departure penalty of 100% of the booked services.
