A weekend of trekking and food and wine delights exploring Chianti
An unforgettable weekend of food and wine trekking, discovering the hidden secrets of an enchanted land. We are in the heart of Chianti, among hills dotted with vineyards and medieval villages. Here, each trail tells an ancient story of tradition and passion for good food and fine wine.
During our trip, we will have the opportunity to visit fascinating villages such as Panzano in Chianti and the Conca d’Oro, with its ancient parish churches and castles, Greve in Chianti and Montefioralle, places steeped in history and charm. We will explore the Natural Protected Area of Badia a Passignano and admire the Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo in Passignano, true cultural treasures immersed in the beauty of Tuscan nature.
Not only excursions, but also unique culinary experiences await us. We will dine at the old butcher shop of Dario Cecchini, called “the world’s most famous butcher” by the New York Times, to enjoy local delicacies, including delicious vegetarian menus. Finally, we will visit a wine cellar located in a protected area to taste wines and hear, through glasses, the history of this wonderful area of Tuscany.

Day 1- Panzano in Chianti – the Conca d’Oro – Pievi and Castles
Length: 8/10 km

With this excursion we will have the opportunity to explore the picturesque Conca d’Oro of Panzano in Chianti, an area renowned for its natural and historical beauty.
We will walk through a scenic valley, considered one of the most fascinating in the Black Rooster Lands, characterized by the presence of ancient parish churches and majestic castles emerging among lush groves and rows of vineyards.
We will be immersed in a breathtaking landscape, rich in history and tradition, allowing us to discover the rich cultural heritage of this region and enjoy its spectacular views.
Day 2 – Natural Protected Area of Badia a Passignano – Wine tasting with tastings.

We will walk through aprotected natural area located in the heart of Chianti Classico, a place steeped in beauty, history and spirituality. On our way, we will have the opportunity to visit the charming Abbey of St. Michael the Archangel in Passignano, whose foundation dates back to 1309 by Giovanni Gualberto, the founder of the Vallombrosian Order. To this day, this abbey still houses Vallombrosian monks, keeping the spiritual and religious tradition alive.
In addition, we will have the pleasure of exploring a winery located within the protected area, where we can taste the renowned wines typical of the Chianti region.
A unique experience that will allow us to fully immerse ourselves in local culture and traditions.
Day 3 – Greve in Chianti – Borgo di Montefioralle
Length: 8/10 km

The village of Greve in Chianti, located in the heart of Chianti Classico, currently constitutes the largest center in the Chianti region. Its historical importance is highlighted by its strategic location along three important pilgrimage routes-the Via Chiantigiana, the route to Valdarno, and the route to Val di Pesa-which have made it a crucial meeting point since ancient times.
The excursion will start from the charming Matteotti Square, which is the centerpiece of the village of Greve in Chianti. From this square, the route will lead us along a path that winds through the rolling Chianti hills, giving us a magnificent view of the Borgo di Montefioralle.
During our itinerary we will have the opportunity to explore the beauty of Montefioralle up close, admiring its splendor through picturesque views that characterize this charming village.

The September-October period in Chianti is of strong appeal especially to foreign tourists. Places are limited and demand is high, so we strongly recommend that you register as soon as possible.
