Day 1 – Panzano in Chianti – La Conca d’Oro – Tasting on the farm

Length: 7 km
Height difference: 220 m

With this excursion, we will have the opportunity to explore the picturesque Conca d’Oro of Panzano in Chianti, an area renowned for its natural beauty and historical value.

We will cross a scenic valley, considered to be one of the most fascinating in the Black Rooster Lands, characterised by ancient parish churches and castles rising among lush groves and vineyards. We will be immersed in a breathtaking landscape, steeped in history and tradition, which will offer us the opportunity to discover the rich cultural heritage of this region and to admire its spectacular views.

We will end the day with a visit to a historic winery, where we will taste extraordinary wines, savouring the tradition and passion that make Chianti unique.

Day 2 – Protected Natural Area of Badia a Passignano

Lenght: 12 km
Height difference: 350 m

We will walk through a nature reserve located in the heart of Chianti Classico, a place rich in beauty, history and spirituality. Along the way, we will visit the evocative Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo in Passignano, founded in 1309 by Giovanni Gualberto, the founder of the Vallombrosan Congregation.

This abbey is still home to Vallombrosian monks, preserving a lively spiritual and religious tradition. In addition, we will have the opportunity to visit a prestigious winery within the nature reserve, where we will be able to taste the famous Chianti wines.

An extraordinary experience to fully immerse oneself in the local culture and traditions.

Day 3 – Greve in Chianti – Borgo di Montefioralle

Length: 6 km
Height difference: 280 m

The village of Greve in Chianti, located in the heart of Chianti Classico, currently constitutes the largest center in the Chianti region. Its historical importance is highlighted by its strategic location along three important pilgrimage routes-the Via Chiantigiana, the route to Valdarno, and the route to Val di Pesa-which have made it a crucial meeting point since ancient times.

The excursion will start from the charming Matteotti Square, which is the centerpiece of the village of Greve in Chianti. From this square, the route will lead us along a path that winds through the rolling Chianti hills, giving us a magnificent view of the Borgo di Montefioralle.

During our itinerary we will have the opportunity to explore the beauty of Montefioralle up close, admiring its splendor through picturesque views that characterize this charming village.
