Truffle Hunting

Our truffle hunting experience in Chianti takes place in a beautiful woodland setting in the heart of Chianti Classico. We will be accompanied by an expert local truffle hunter and his trained dogs, who will guide us in the search for one of Tuscany’s most prized ingredients: truffles. Along the way, we will discover how truffle hunting works, learn about the relationship between the truffle hunter and the dogs, and hear stories, traditions and curiosities connected to the woods and the land.

Truffle hunting is deeply rooted in Tuscan rural culture and remains a fascinating tradition passed down through generations. Much of its magic lies in the bond between the truffle hunter and the dog, whose skill, training and experience are essential to finding truffles hidden beneath the forest floor.
